We met a guy a few days ago who explained the difference between a "pond" and a "lake". Seems to us like there are ponds that are bigger than some of the lakes. Ends up, according to Real, a pond is less than 30 feet deep and it has nothing to do with surface area. That actually makes sense!
Yesterday ended up to be a day that is going to be hard to beat! Trox said it would take about an hour to get to the new campsite (it did) which was only about 7 miles away! He said the road was good and we could make it (which it wasn't but we did). On the way we got to watch a cow Moose along the road. We arrived and set up camp with the tent room right on the water with a wonderful view! We sat down there and fixed dinner and watched the wildlife which included a bull Moose that was probably last year's crop and a big bull Moose eating in the lake. This morning we woke up to a beautiful day and both got a nice paddle. This is a very small pond. The perimeter is about .63 miles and it is about .23 miles long and .1 mile wide. Trox made a number of circles around and I made a few. While I work on this and enjoy the solitude Trox is off on his bike riding towards Baxter.
